Control Design with FEMLAB Submodels In the design of control systems, accurate models of the including physical systems are needed. Traditionally, the properties of the physical systems were simplified in the control design. With FEMLAB, ad hoq models and other unrefined models of physics can easily be replaced with accurate models in Simulink, MATLAB's environment for control system design and analysis. This talk will focus on the modeling and simulation of control systems with finite-element submodels. A case-study is presented on slab temperature control for reheating furnaces.
